STES rules
General
- The STES organisation has the right to exclude participants from driving in the championship if needed.
- The tracks are fixed and are only changed for technical reasons.
- Registration can only be done on this site.
- Registering for the championship means that the driver will try to join as many races as possible.
- If a driver does not cancel his attandence by mail if he is not able to drive, he will be excluded from the championship, remember it takes time to organise this and we want a bit commitment back.
- Results will be published on this site.
- Spare drivers are assigned if more then the maximum allowable drivers sign up.
- If a driver who is registered cannot join, a sparedriver can be assigned by the STES.
- Make sure you are on time, due to a tight timescale we will start on time.
- Server will not be rebooted due to a drop-out at start of race.
Driver conduct
- Drive in a gentlemanly fashion, keep in mind that most of us practiced a lot and want to finish the race.
- Practice before every race to learn the track, don't forget to practice a pitstop.
- When overtaking take care. Make yourself clearly visible before overtaking and do not push yourself alongside.
- Slower drivers should stick to the race line as much as possible when being overtaken. Prepare yourself for it and take care.
- Asses the situation when being overtaken, sometimes lifting on a straight, braking sooner before the corner helps the faster driver overtake safely.
- Use your rear view mirrors/virtual mirror to keep track of the cars behind you.
- During dusk, dawn or night race turn on your head lights.
- GT drivers are advised to flash their head lights before overtaking or while closing in on a slower NGT car, if possible.
- If you spin on track, start moving as soon as possible or move off track to avoid collision. If you can't get off soon enough, then not moving is usually the best decision.
