Scuderia Twente
Scuderia Twente was founded by Chris Smit in cooperation with Dennis Glaasker. The name has its origins in the fact that we both are Ferraristi. Scuderia is the Italian word for horse stable and is used by many racing teams around the world. Twente was added to this because it is the region we live in. Twente is a very nice region of the Netherlands in the eastern part of the country, next to the border with germany.
Our main goal is to provide you with an informative site. Part of the site will be dedicated to race results from the ADC and the STES. The Scuderia Twente Endurance Series (STES) is a series of endurance races that we will host. The idea about the STES was born out of our succesfull hosting of several standalone endurance races. The race results are generated using our own scripting and functions for GTR, GTR2 and GTL.
Besides the race results and reports we will have some background information on specific GT cars. Dennis has collected lots of information on this and setup a database. Data is given for a given car with a given serial number. This sums the history of this particular car, definitely worth a read.
You will find a mix of simracing and real life racing on this site. A few times per year we visit events and take (a lot of) pictures. Some of these are available in our photo gallery.
Last but not least we will have some information about creating setups and will provide some reference setups. A lot of drivers struggle with creating the ultimate setup, something that will never be reached. The information provided should help you build your own (understandable) setup.
